Border Angels - "We advocate for human rights, humane immigration reform, and social justice. This work is done in an attempt to reduce the number of fatalities along the US-Mexico border by educating and assisting the communities on both sides of the border.

The ACLU - Participates in justice reform through lobbying, litigation, and education to "defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in the United States by the Constitution and laws."

Suggested donation / cost and time transparency - $7 and 4 hours (when priced at $30, Hana makes $5.75/hour)

each of the listed earring pairs take approximately 3 hours of hands-on creation (clay conditioning, color mixing, molding, baking, sanding, sealing, and attaching findings), a half-hour of product production (photography, editing, coding, promoting), and a half-hour for order processing (Shopify backend, inventory, packaging, delivering). 

each of the listed earring costs approximately $7 to create - online overhead $3/pair, raw materials $1/pair, findings $1.25/pair, earring card and packaging materials $1.50/pair. 

Polymer clay is lightweight (so you can go BIG) and all of the findings on HanaMade jewelry are hypoallergenic stainless steel - they’re easy on the ears. Some HanaMade earrings are finished with resin for extra shine. Check out the FAQ page for care tips and info about all materials used.
